Gašper’s PhD thesis

Our colleague Gašper Slapničar successfully defended his PhD thesis titled “Contact-Free Physiological Monitoring of Cardiorespiratory States using Radar and Optical Sensors”. His dissertation was supervised by prof. dr. Mitja Luštrek and assoc. prof. dr. Wenjin Wang. It comprised two main parts: 1.) it analyzed the possibilites of recognizing hemodynamic states with radars using a novel hybrid neural network architecture; and 2.) it investigated fundamental feasibility of contact-free multi-wavelength pulse transit time and subsequent blood pressure estimation. The committee comprising asst. prof. dr. Aleksandra Rashkovska Koceva, asst. prof. dr. Gennaro Tartarisco, and prof. dr. Matej Kristan, evaluated the thesis positevly.
