Hey! I'm sooooooooo not crazy. I don't even wear those nifty white
jackets anymore. Though now that I think about I do miss those padded
walls. They were fun.
Besides you are just jealous OK. Cause I keep suggesting these AWESOME
books faster than you can read them and your To Read pile just keeps
getting larger and larger. HA!

Ah yes, I recognize some of the crazy vampire groupies here!! I forgot
to introduce myself. I am A SMALL BLONDE VAMPIRE HUNTER.
Okay, I hunt them....because I am addicted to vampires. I think Geekmom
said that somewhere. I'm hooked hooked hooked. Right now I just like
the funny weird vampires...hee hee.
The tall dark ones are my favorites, yums. slurp
I write them if I can't find them.
Thank Geekmom I found this loop.
Until next time, I wish you lots of vampires

Judith! I am an active vampire hunter too....I lurk in the aisles
of Barnes and Noble in my quest for new and exciting vampire fiction.
(at least until the clerks get freaked out by my cape and call the cops
LOL) |

Hi ObsidianKiss!!!
It would be great if we ran into each other in the aisles of a book store skulking and stalking vampire fiction. hee hee.
I was thinking today about vampires...I want to write a short story in
the stream of Kate McAllister and Lynsay Sands. But I can't make up my
mind. I usually write first person.
Maybe I should write it in third person.
I just don't know. What do you all like...a survey is a good idea...
all those who read this can you tell me which you like best to read, heroines in first person or third person?
Later, vampire addicts

It doesn't really matter to me. Any all books (paranormal mostly) I crave. |

I'd love suggestions for new authors. I'm a fan of all types of
paranormal romance, but I especially like vampires. Any advice you can
give would be great!!! |

I'm not sure what authors you've read so here is a list I'll limit it
to paranormal authors if you want some just general good books or
authors then let me knoiw and I'll add them.
Anita Blake & Merry Gentry Series- Laurell K. Hamilton
Harry Dresden Series- Jim Butcher
Dark-Hunter Series- Sherrilyn Kenyon
Any book by Katie MacAlister (Paranormals are You Slay Me, A Girl's Guide to Dating Vampires, and Sex & The Single Vampire)
Dark Series- Christine Feehan
Black Jewels Trilogy- Anne Bishop
Women of the Otherworld Series- Kelley Armstrong
Nightside Series- Simon R. Green
Undead Series- MaryJanice Davidson
Vampire Huntress Series- L.A. Banks
Lynsay Sands
Don't really know much about e-books but, I would suggest Chris Dauten, Rebecca K. Rhodes, and Ella Scopio.
Hope it helps.

Just to add a bit to Spike's list....
Dead Witch Walking - Kim Harrison (very good! Witches, pixies, vamps and dark magic)
Candle Bay - Tamara Thorne (if you like your vamps psychotic, sexy
and bloody) *Betcha haven't read THAT one have ya book pimp!*
Chelsea Quin Yarbro's Saint-Germaine series. (these are regency romance
type vampires...some pretty disturbing scenes, but good)
P. N. Elrod's vampires are gangster/speakeasy noir type vamps
eBook authors:
Scopilo is, of course the master! *grin*
Dauten's Lianna's Children is a fantastic read.
Kate Hill's Ancient Blood series is awesome!
Delilah Devlin's My Immortal Knight Series is hot.
Bite Me - Jaci Burton (a quickie, funny sexy vamps)
Marilyn Lee's vampires are sexy and violent
Jackie Rose's I'm Undead and I Vote is a hilarious vamp story
That's all I can think of right now, I'm sure that I missed a few
good ones, but this should get you started....and keep you busy for a
while Alex. *grin* |
