This girl uses a clever
variation of the classic "I'll come visiting if you send me
the necessary money for the trip". Hereis ths
story:
She saw my profile on World-Online-Dating and
contacted me (a 62 y.o.) saying she liked me and wanted to
know me better (6 May). I replied agreeably and asked for
photos, since her profile shows none. She sent me her first
photo (8 May), told me she is a teacher of English (1st
mistake: she writes in very poor English) and the daughter of
a bus driver and a teacher. "

Both contacted me through the
yahoo personals. With Irina I have found many letters
identical to the ones she wrote to me with her name and email
address and many letters of similarity but from other woman. I
have found nothing about Alena. Alena was not requesting money
and was on her way here to visit until she claimed she could
not get on the plane with out 2,500usd on her person. Now she
is getting pretty agressive and demanding that I sell things
to get the money. Any info would be greatly appreciated."

Alena Petuhova 'Scam' Dangerous and
Clever Posted by saul on Sunday, June 05 @

rhangoran
writes "The following story is I’m afraid typical of
many out there; I am a well balanced individual, professional,
intelligent, successful, who makes friends male and female
easily…. However here I am writing my story on an anti scam
site… because; yes you have guessed it I have been
scammed.
I was using a UK dating site to establish
communications with ladies of my own age (46) whom I could
meet when I am home in UK (I am currently working in the
Middle East), I have been divorced three years and would now
like to move on and find a life long partner, the Middle East
is not the place to find her or indeed anyone of the opposite
sex; hence I was using a UK dating site.
A girl from
Russia contacted me saying all the right things about my
profile etc… I am easy on the eye and look after myself; so
with a puffed up chest became interested in her. I discovered
more about her in the next letter, her age (32) and she was a
single mother with a young son. I immediately thought that she
was too young and that there was a chance I could hurt her in
the long run by keeping her interested, her situation demanded
a more ‘throw caution to the wind’ approach to distance dating
and I had already had one marriage and wasn’t ready to commit
again without truly getting to know the person, this would be
difficult with a girl from Russia."

" Ukrainian Brides " address: street Patrisa Lumumba, 4/6,

044 2682084 directors: Kochetova Tatyana Igorevna
#
Details: Margarita is my girlfriend and she has asked me
herself to blacklist her on all lists. www.mylady.info is
using her photo's to scam men, and she knew nothing about it
until last week. She has occasionally received telephone
calls from guys who act as if they know her, but she doesn't
know who they are. I proved the scam by spending money
with the mylady website whilst writing to her when she was sat
next to me in Kiev. She never received the letter, but I got a
reply from someone pretending to be her.
The letter I
received said she is 25 years old, speaks little English and
is a market analyst in Kiev. In reality she works in her
mother's clothes shop which I have visited and she
occasionally does magazine modelling work (which I have seen),
She is 28, and speaks good conversational English.
So
if you believe you are writing to Margarita, then she
guarantee's she has never heard of you and you are being
scammed.

Heart Internet - Possibly The Slowest
Servers Online? Posted by saul

Heart
Internet are a UK based provider of hosting solutions for
individuals and small businesse's. They appear to offer great
value for money...however, judging by the complaints we have
received and our own experiences with this company we highly
recommend if speed is an issue for you, look
elsewhere.
The company denies there are any speed
issues with the service they provide. However we do not call
taking over 6 minutes to send an e-mail and over two minutes
for a web page to load, fast...perhaps they do?
If you
have had any dealings with this company we would like to hear
your opinions, both good and bad.

Thinking Of Buying a Plasma Screen
From tiny.com ? Posted by saul
on Sunday, April 10 @ 16:30:56 BST (130
reads)
Think
again!
There has been a large number of complaints
about www.tiny.com who are better known for their PC products
but who also have been advertising their Plasma screen's
heavily in the press over the last months. Whislt we wouldn't
class this as a scam it definitly is bad business practice at
the very least!
At first glance these seem like
excellent deals however the reality may not be quite what you
expected.
These screens have been the source of many
customer complaints the main one being "picture shearing".
Tiny's customer service has been giving people the run around
with all manner of excuses including telling people that ALL
plasma screens suffer from this problem, which I'm sure will
be news to the likes of Philips and Pioneer!!.
Best
thing you can do is buy a screen from a company that knows how
to treat it's customers. There are far better quality screens
on the market for the money and certainly you will be likely
to receive better customer support elsewhere.

Sky Channels For Free
Scam Posted by saul on Friday, April 08 @
18:58:01 BST (395 reads)
They claim you can watch 200+ Channels for a one off
fee of only £4.95! Their web site is misleading to say the
least www.ebookbusiness.co.uk/sky/index.htm
You
get the impression you will pay a fee and receive their
software "Are future updates available? Of course! Whenever a
new version of our software package is released, you will
automatically notified and you can even have the updated
software emailed to your email address." What you actually get
is a link to a pdf file with a list of links you click on to
get the streaming video. Be aware though there are NOT 200+
channels here. What you get is links to 60 or so channels
which for the most part will either not connect or the stream
is not good enough resulting in constant buffering even on a
2mb connection.
The rest of the channels are via links
to other web sites where you will have to pay yet another
fee.
It could be said that for £4.95 what can you
expect? Well if your going to pay for it...don't expect 200+
channels!
