Mountain Hardwear 2nd Dimension Sleeping Bag Synthetic 3 Season Sleeping Bag

by Mountain Hardwear

Description: Mountain Hardwear 2nd Dimension Sleeping Bag Synthetic 3 Season Sleeping Bag - Warm up to the idea of spending nights on a breezy wall or frozen ridgeline with this 15F-rated 2nd Dimension Sleeping Bag. Mountain Hardwear recently enhanced the mummy cut and added a new Quantum Expander panel that you can unzip to increase the girth by eight inches. This means that you can loosen the fit up a bit on warmer evenings or add a bit of elbow room to stretch out your tired limbs while sleeping. A redesigned contoured hood and Face Gasket helps seal in the warmth while a draft collar keeps torso body heat in the spaces below your shoulders. Like other Quantum sleeping bags, the 2nd Dimension has Mountain Hardware's shingled construction, except this one is filled with fast-drying synthetic Polarguard® Delta insulation with over 5.5 inches of compressible loft. Polarguard® Delta has the same loft as Polarguard® 3D, but it's 10-15% lighter, so you carry less than similarly rated synthetic bags, but stay warmer throughout the night. Durable and lightweight 40-denier nylon ripstop shell fabric with 50-denier polyester taffeta lining Warm synthetic Polarguard® Delta insulation rated to 15F (-9C) Overlapping shingled Polarguard® configuration eliminates cold spots New Quantum Expander panel unzips to increase bag girth by an additional 8 in. Redesigned hood with contoured shaping Ergonomically shaped draft collar and face gasket help trap heat inside bag Sloping trapezoidal Mountain Hardwear Comfort Footbox Fits adults up to 78 in. (198 cm.)in height Shoulder girth (without Expander): 60 in. (152 cm.) Hip girth: 56 in. (142 cm.) Foot girth: 38 in. (97 cm.) Stuff sack dimensions: 8 x 16 in. (20 x 41 cm.) Gear Reviews
  • Summary: An Excellent 3-Season Bag
    Author: ALTREC CUSTOMER
Comments: I selected this bag for a long wilderness canoe trip in northern Canada. Although down bags are my usual preference, due to size and weight considerations, I needed a bag which would continue to perform even when damp. This bag has met my expectations and requirements very well. The construction is excellent, and the bag is relatively light and compact for its 15-degree rating. Highly recommended.
  • Summary: Totally Awesome; A Great Buy
