We have an apartment of 110 square metres in a very pleasant building of 25 apartment, with a private common garden of 20. 000 square metres in the suburb of the city, but it takes only 15 minutes to go to the historical centre by bus. Central Railway Station is 20 minutes away by bus. Highway is 10 minutes away by car. The international airport G. Marconi is 20 minutes away by car.
Bologna is the most important junction in Italy both for highway and for railway, owing its geographic location: you can go to Milano (2 hours) , Firenze (1 hour) , Venezia (2 hours) , Rimini (1 hour) , Roma (3 hours) by car or by train, as you prefer; Napoli is 5, 5 hours away.

Luca) , the kitchen fully equipped (dishwasher, deep freezer, domestic equipment) .

The Neighborhood
Bologna is named “the learned” for the ancient University, “the fat” because of the delicious cookery, “the red” for the colour of the several medieval buildings, all made by red bricks. The historical centre is one of the largest in Italy with buildings from medieval age to “liberty “ period (Art Nouveau) ; it is still the real “heart” of the city (day and night) , with offices, shops, schools, restaurants, bars, “osterie” (historical wine-bar) , cinemas and theatres. One of the most typical characteristics of Bologna are the “porticoes”, that allow to visit all the historical centre sheltered from bad weather. A “portico” of about 5 kilometres connect the historical centre with one of the most characteristic church in Bologna “the Basilica of S. Luca”, built on XVII century on a hill near the town; today it is still the characteristic destination of pilgrimage.
Every Friday in Bologna takes place a typical great market. In winter period the historical centre is busy by a typical Christmas market, where is possible to buy Christmas decorations, sweets, etc…
In Bologna there are three important theatres: “Comunale theatre” for lyric opera, “Duse” and “Arena del Sole” for prose. In the town there are also two art gallery, one of ancient and one of modern art. The most important museum is the municipal archaeological museum, that contain an important Egyptian collection. Who comes in Bologna have to visit the university zone, with the scientific collections and the botanical garden.
Near Bologna, at less than 80 kms, there are many historical and artistic cities, such as Ferrara, Parma, Modena, Ravenna, Mantova. Each of them is a real jewel and you can visit them day by day whether by car or by train, as you prefer.
For kids we have 3 themes park: Mirabilandia and Fiabilandia at 1, 30 hours from Bologna and Gardaland at 2, 30 hours. If you like to skate, near Bologna there is an ice rink.
There is a commercial centre 2 kms away and a great Hyper market is 4 kms far from.
