Pleas for Help
- Bulletin Board - |
|
|
Are you looking for someone? Need some specific information? You
can now post your Plea for Help on this Bulletin Board. For best results be as
specific as possible, and use a good subject heading by including which
island/part of island. Do you have any news? Please share on this board
or send me an e-mail at gert@gobeach.com .
Remember, that in cases like this no news is bad news.
If you are trying to find out weather related information for
your upcoming holiday, like, what is the probability of a hurricane passing by
your island in the first week in September, go to the climatology section. There your
answers can be found. If you are just looking for the current weather on one of
the islands see the
guide.
I am happy to announce that the Pleas for Help phorum has moved
to its own dedicated server help.stormcarib.com to relieve some of
the load on the main website! A big thanks to my webhost pairNetworks
for giving me access to two dedicated servers at no extra cost! If you
are looking for a reliable and socially responsible place to host your website,
this is the one! -Gert
URGENT REQUEST: It is very important to use GOOD SUBJECT
lines. If you have news, include the word \'NEWS\' in the subject. If you are
looking for info use QUESTION MARKS in the subject. But please, no bashing to
people who make honest mistakes... This is a stressful situation for
everyone.

My
brother has just got off the caymans - is now in Florida with my
other brother, and my parents have just gone over on Tuesday - they
are in the Port St Lucie, Treasure Coast area. Just got a call from
my mum half hour ago so it's pretty windy and rainy over there at
the moment so they're moving to a safer house with metal boards on
windows. God help everyone going through all this.

My son and his wife lost almost everything on the
Cayman, the eye of two huricanes have just missed my house in
Floriday by 30 miles and now a third one is on its way to my house
tomorrow. My other son is in Alabama and had to get him out of there
because of Ivan last week, is there a safe place
anywhere?

I'm not sure if there is a "safe place" anymore. Seems
the storms come in and reck havoc in the middle of the country! I am
praying that this is the last storm of the season. Also I'm praying
for those who are going to ride Jeanne out - they say they feel
pretty safe, but my concern is how much structure stability is there
in buidlings and/or homes that have been pounded by Cat 2, 3 and 4
hurricanes over the past 6 weeks. Too with all the debris laying
around - that will become projectiles! They are posting storm
warnings for the gulf side but I think Jeanne will stay on the
Atlantic side.
May God Watch Over Us as we go through yet
another tragedy.
My prayers continue to be with those on the
Islands and in Florida.
